Windsurfing in Kenya is where Prosurf first started off and we maintain our lead as the place to windsurf in Kenya. Windsurfing is mix between sailing and surfing using a board and sail with the wind as your main power source to move you forwards. The sport first really took off in the 80's, and being incredibly versatile it attracts all ages as it reaches from being a peaceful relaxed sail on the ocean, to a high-adrenalin speed sport - the world speed record over a 500m course is over 46 knots!
The inevitable "surf" lifestyle image of always pushing the limits of perfection, spectacular moves and stunts in big waves has kept windsurfing a well-loved sport across the world's warm water destinations.
In addition to kitesurfing Kenya, the centre is also well equipped for all levels of windsurfing where we can help you get a perfect day out windsurfing! We are a great location for all types of windsurfer as well, from learners and intermediates looking to get good time out on the water to improve, to well established, confident windsurfers travelling the world on the look out for the peak season and next best spot!
Prosurf Extreme has a very successful Windsurfing for beginner course (level 1) and intermediate course (level 2) where you can learn to windsurf in warm, calm water, at your leisure whilst you are here on holiday. With only 2 hours a day required to learn to windsurf, this can offer a perfect balance of having a holiday with a daily activity, but where you still have plenty of "time out" lying under the palm trees or around a pool.
