Other Activities at the Centre

Snorkelling at Nyali Marine Park Reserve
Kenya offers world class scuba diving and snorkelling, and we run a fun snorkelling trip to the Coral gardens everyday. It is a 10 minute easy going boat drive from our centre out to the Kenya Wildlife Service Marine Reserve just inside the protective reef. So it's your safari and game drive equivalent at the Coast! Your boat Captain, who has many years of experience in this local marine reserve, will guide you through a quick tour of the most amazing coral formations which you can view from the boat, after which your boat anchors and you can swim or snorkel amongst hundreds of tiny coral fish. They swim right up to the boat so if you don't feel like getting in you can opt to stay dry and check out the view from the boat through its glass panels.

Free snorkelling equipment is included and the trip lasts for about 3 hours. Book a day in advance at the watersports desk.

Scuba Diving
The Nyali base has all the equipment required to run all PADI courses teaching you how to dive. Those staying at this hotel do their diving courses within the Nyali Beach Hotel premises, and dive trips are linked with the nearby larger dive base, and the boats pick up from infront of Nyali Beach.

Open Water Swimming
We can arrange supervised swimming to the reef and back for keen open water swimmers at a low tide. Our rescue boat, carrying what you may need, drinking water etc.. will follow close behind you throughout the swim until you are back at shore.

Paddle ski canoes
With a moulded seat and double our, the paddle skis are fun for playing in the shallows or good for a real workout, what ever you want them for, they are a fun way to get out on the sea without much know how! Great for paddling out to the reef at a low tide.

Catamaran Sailing

If you prefer an easy holiday sailing activity, then we provide Top Cat catamarans with a helmsman who you will sail you around the lagoon. You can experience the beach and location, and the Kenyan coastline from an ocean view perspective, with minimal effort!
